COME SIT WITH ME

Ancestor Altar & Veneration Kit

Remember • Honor • Welcome

Before we were here, somebody came before us.

Some of their names we know. Some were lost along the way. Some left photographs, recipes, stories, land, traditions, prayers, mannerisms, warnings and wisdom. Others left nothing we can physically hold except the bloodline that continued.

Come Sit With Me was created by Black Girl Conjure as a foundation for building a dedicated space in your home to remember, honor and sit with your ancestors.

This is not simply a collection of beautiful altar pieces.

It is an invitation to make them a place at the table.

THE BLACK ROSE FROM THE CONCRETE

Throughout the Come Sit With Me collection, you will find the Black Rose.

It represents the flower that grew where nobody expected it to grow.

Our ancestors created families, traditions, businesses, homes, music, food, faith, laughter and futures under circumstances that were never designed for them to flourish.

And still—

they grew.

The concrete did not stop the root.

Every generation pushed that root a little farther until eventually something broke through the surface.

We are part of what bloomed.

The black roses dressing the sage bundles honor that survival. The gold throughout the collection represents what remained valuable through every generation—the stories, lessons, prayers, protection, traditions and love that continued forward.

The concrete did not stop the root.
The hardship did not end the bloodline.
What they planted is still growing.

INSIDE YOUR ALTAR KIT

3 TRUE BLACK SAGE BUNDLES

California Black Sage — Salvia mellifera

Your kit contains three bundles of True California Black Sage, an aromatic sage native to California and parts of Baja California.

True Black Sage is not ordinary sage artificially colored black. Naturally dried Salvia mellifera can range from deep green and gray-green to earthy brown and charcoal.

Each bundle is hand-dressed in the signature Come Sit With Me presentation with mini black roses, dark botanical accents and delicate metallic-gold wrapping.

Your three bundles represent:

CLEANSE — CONNECT — HONOR

Prepare the space.
Sit with your people.
Give thanks.

8 OZ ANCESTOR VENERATION CANDLE

The Come Sit With Me Ancestor Veneration Candle becomes the light of your altar.

Light it during ancestor prayer, remembrance, offerings, quiet time at your altar and moments when you intentionally make space to honor those who came before you.

Remember • Honor • Welcome

ANCESTOR WATER GLASS

A dedicated clear glass for keeping fresh water on your ancestor altar.

The simplicity is intentional.

This glass belongs to your ancestor space and should be refreshed regularly as part of tending and maintaining your altar.

GOLD OFFERING PLATE

A dedicated gold-tone plate for appropriate offerings.

Food, sweets or other meaningful offerings should come from your family, your memories and your understanding of the people you are honoring.

We provide the plate.

You provide what belongs on it.

BLACK & GOLD ANCESTOR PICTURE FRAME

Your kit includes a dedicated 4×6 black-and-gold standing frame.

We intentionally do not provide the photograph.

That space belongs to your people.

Place the photograph of an ancestor you personally wish to remember and honor inside the frame and make their image part of the altar you are building.

ANCESTOR ALTAR SETUP & VENERATION GUIDE

You will also receive the Come Sit With Me Ancestor Altar Setup & Veneration Guide, created by Black Girl Conjure to help you understand how to arrange, maintain, clean and respectfully tend your ancestor space.

Because purchasing altar pieces is easy.

Building a practice of remembering is the work.

WHAT WE DON'T PUT IN THE BOX

We do not include photographs.

We do not choose your ancestor's favorite foods.

We do not decide what personal family objects belong on your altar.

Those things cannot be mass-produced.

They should come from your family, your memories, your lineage and your home.

We give you the foundation.

You bring your people.

COME SIT WITH ME

Set down the water.

Place their photograph.

Prepare an offering.

Light the candle.

Cleanse the space.

And sit.

You don't always have to come asking for something.

Sometimes honoring your ancestors begins with simply saying:

I remember you.
I honor you.
There is still a place for you here.

For the ones who survived.

For the ones who sacrificed.

For the names we remember.

For the names that were lost.

For the Black roses who grew through concrete—

and for everything still blooming because they did.

BLACK GIRL CONJURE
